Establishment and Operation of a Vocational Qualifications System (SVQ)



The HHIC, as a state tertiary educational institution specialising in the field of hospitality, catering and the broader tourism studies, has been authorised to operate as an Examining Centre. It examines candidates that have applied for the assessment and certification process, and awards certification leading to Vocational Qualifications within the framework of the project ‘Establishment and Operation of a Vocational Qualifications System (SVQ) in Cyprus’ applied by the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus (HRDA), for the following vocational qualifications:
    · Reception (levels 2 and 3)
    · Food and Beverage Service (levels 1,2 and 3)
    · Food Preparation (levels 1,2 and 3)
    · Housekeeping (levels 1,2 and 3)
    · Bakery (level 2)
    · Pastry (level 2)
    · Beverage Preparation and Service (level 2)
