Applicants may have to be examined either in Cyprus or at an approved Overseas Examination Centre, the exact date to be arranged by the Local Examination Centre in consultation with the Registrar of the HHIC and the candidate.
A written test in the English language is required. This entrance examination may be waived for candidates possessing: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL (TOEFL paper-based 527; TOEFL computer based test 197; TOEFL internet-based test 71), IGCSE (Grade C) or an equivalent qualification.
The following should be attached to the application otherwise it will not be considered:
Two (2) recent passport-sized photographsA photocopy of the candidate’s passportOfficial Birth CertificateA valid certification for the candidate’s Secondary and other Education so farPhotocopies of English language certifications (if any) (i.e. GCE, TOEFL, IELTS, etc.)
A Health Certificate (including HIV, Hepatitis B, VDRL/RPR, contagious diseases, other contagious diseases tests)
Application fee of €35 is required and candidates must undertake this payment through a bank transfer to the following bank account: IBAN: CY16001000010000000006001010 and SWIFT CODE: CBCYCY2NACC, with the description: HIGHER HOTEL INSTITUTE CYPRUS.
A Police Certificate
A Bank Letter declaring that you have enough money to pursue your studies
Upon admission the candidate should clear with the accounts office in advance all matters in relation to tuition and other fees
Health Certificate
Successful candidates must submit a Health Certificate prior to commencement of lessons. The certificate must indicate whether the candidates suffer from the following diseases:
Infectious Hepatitis
Hepatitis B
AIDS
Tuberculosis
Serious skin diseases
Other infectious diseases
