Student Mobility Erasmus+ Incoming Students

Information for Incoming Exchange Students

All incoming students wishing to come to the HHIC as Erasmus+ students must be officially nominated by their home universities. A valid Erasmus+ Inter-institutional agreement must exist between the student's home university and the HHIC in the relevant subject area of the Programme of Study.

Information regarding the main activities and events that occur during the academic year are presented in the Academic Calendar.
The relevant information of nominated students must be sent to the HHIC by the end of April for the 1st (Fall) semester and by the end of October for students attending in the 2nd (Spring) semester.

Support for Incoming Students:

Incoming students are given an informational package prior to their arrival in Cyprus and they are assigned an Erasmus Tutor. Upon their arrival, an orientation programme takes place to familiarize the incoming students with the Institute and introduce them to the staff. Additional information regarding student’s affairs can be found in the Student Manual.

The Student Union organizes welcome parties for the incoming Erasmus students as well as excursions around the island and helps them to understand the culture and habits of the host country. Erasmus students are encouraged to participate in Students’ Clubs and activities and other events that take place on a regular basis during the semester.

For accommodation purposes, Erasmus students have the opportunity to stay at the Institute’s Halls of Residence if they so wish by informing the Erasmus+ Office prior to their arrival. Information regarding accommodation facilities and prices can be found in the link Hall of Residence.

Incoming students are provided with the opportunity to attend English Language courses and select amongst three elective European languages. The aim of these courses is the acquisition of language skills, so that students can use the language as a communication tool in their professional field.
